Papilio Ulysses Swallowtail

Papilio ulysses, native to Indonesia, was named after the Greek hero Odysseus from Homer’s Odyssey. Ulysses was Odysseus’ Roman name. We have several species of swallowtail here in the United States, and many states have adopted swallowtails as their state butterfly.
